The Broker Identity Program (BIP) This program has introduced consumers across the country to our registered trademark symbol. The “BIPPER” has come to stand for professional, unbiased service. Only IBAC members may use the symbol on business cards, client gifts and other promotional materials.
Client newsletter Members may order Staying in Touch, a semi-annual, professionally produced newsletter that updates clients on insurance-related issues. An electronic version postable to your website is also available. (view sample [pdf 170Kb])
Education/professional development Course attendance is essential to maintaining RIBO licensing and continuing educational requirements. OIBA membership and its association with the provinicial body, IBAO, assures access to high-quality education and the following advantages:
Access to all required courses from one central provider Including all courses required for licensing and continued education credit.
Reduced educational expenses Members pay lower fees for licensing courses.
Broker-specific education Coursess are designed specifically to meet the needs of independent brokers.
Professional credentials OIBA members are automatically members of IBAO and IBAC, entitling them to use CAIB and CCIB designations. Members will also be able to use the CPIB designation when it has been fully developed.
Current information Special seminars are provided when new issues arise in the industry.
