The OIBA is pleased pass along the following information regarding two upcoming seminars being offered in Ottawa on Thursday, February 24, 2011. The topics of discussion – Destroying Two Common Producer Myths: Why you should never pay 50/50 commission split and give book ownership and A Practical Guide to Mergers & Acquistions.
These seminars are intended to be thought provoking. The goal is to tear down some of the common myths regarding producer compensation (including book ownership) and offer several alternatives and provide a case study in examining the mergers and acquisitions process that also includes great information on valuations and implications for payback.
