GUEST SPEAKER LOUIS GAGNON, PRESIDENT SERVICE & DISTRIBUTION, INTACT
We are pleased to announce our guest speaker Louis Gagnon. Mr. Gagnon was appointed President Service & Distribution in December 2013. In this role, Mr. Gagnon oversees the development and the expansion of belairdirect, BrokerLink as well as international initiatives and ventures while overseeing Intact’s Claims activities. Before this role, Mr. Gagnon was President and Chief Operating Officer of Intact Financial Corporation for two years. He was also President of Intact Insurance from 2008 to 2011. He joined Intact Insurance as Senior Vice-President, Quebec division in January 2007.
After working several years in the banking and consulting business, Mr. Gagnon began his insurance career in 1992. Prior to joining Intact, Mr. Gagnon headed a successful brokerage, with offices in Quebec and Ontario, and was active within the provincial and national brokers’ associations. Mr. Gagnon is past President of the Regroupement des cabinets de courtage d’assurance du Quebec (RCCAQ) and Director of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).
Mr. Gagnon earned a B.A. in Economic Science from the Universite de Montreal and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
